Why do you love fly fishing?

I love fly fishing because it allows me to slow down, quiet my mind, and reconnect with nature, while also bringing me into an incredible community of people who share the same passion.

How did you get started in the sport?

I’ve always loved being around the water and grew up fishing and surfing, but I didn’t discover fly fishing until about six years ago. After watching YETI Presents Cosmo, I became fascinated by the hunt, the scenery, and the challenge of pursuing saltwater fish on the fly. What started as something I simply wanted to learn quickly became a passion and a huge part of how I spend my time, travel, and connect with people.

Where is your favorite place to fish and why?

My favorite place to fish would have to be the South Carolina Lowcountry. Nothing like quietly pushing through the spartina grass on a floodtide waiting to catch a glimpse of that first tailing red to pursue.

What is your dream destination to fish?

My dream fly fishing destination would be the remote atolls of the Seychelles: the untouched flats, crystal-clear water, and the chance to sight-fish for the most powerful saltwater species in one of the wildest places on Earth.
