Why do you love fly fishing?

I love fly fishing because there’s always another layer to it. Whether it’s tying the fly, figuring out a fish, making the cast, or exploring somewhere new, there’s a creativity and intentionality to it that keeps me coming back.

How did you get started in the sport?

I grew up fishing South Florida and the Florida Keys, but I eventually became fascinated with catching those same fish on fly. Once I started tying my own flies and catching fish on something I created with my own hands, I was completely hooked.

Where is your favorite place to fish and why?

South Florida and the Florida Keys will always be home for me. I grew up spending summers and weekends in the Keys, and there’s something special about sight fishing clear, shallow water for tarpon, bonefish, and permit in a place that holds so many memories for me.

What is your dream destination to fish?

Seychelles is probably at the top of my list. The opportunity to sight fish for giant trevally, triggerfish, bonefish, and other species in such a wild, remote environment feels like the ultimate saltwater fly fishing adventure.

The 2GO Box and Fly Caddy are both part of my everyday carry. They’re compact and simple, making it easy to carry only the flies I actually need with me without carrying a ton of gear.

Which one is your favorite and why?

The original Fly Caddy is probably my favorite. Whether I’m walking a bank or wading a flat, having flies right at arm’s reach is incredibly handy. I also love that I can clip it to my shirt, backpack, or even directly onto the 2GO Box for quick access.
