Why do you love fly fishing?
My love for fly fishing is simply the is based around its healing abilities. Mental, physical, and emotional. It also allows me to reconnect with my values of conservation, community, and stewardship.
How did you get started in the sport?
I was first introduced to fly fishing at age 10 while attending a Boy Scout summer camp. At age 23, I moved to New Mexico and fully saturated myself in the sport.
Where is your favorite place to fish and why?
I really don’t have a “favorite “ place to fish. I simply love fishing. Every experience offers new possibilities, educational opportunities, and connectivity that I didn’t have prior to that moment.
What is your dream destination to fish?
If ever given the chance, Kamchatka Russia would be a dream come true.
Why is the Atollas brand special to you?
I’ve always been a fan of small, grassroots, and likeminded companies and brands. I first purchased the Atollas 1GO for its aesthetic and storage capacity. Once in use, the realization of its ability and well thought out design made it my primary box. Soon after I purchased the 2GO and Fly Caddy XL for its minimal sizes, yet efficiently maximizing my fly assortments. I never realized how much unnecessary weight I was carrying.
What Atollas product(s) are in your everyday carry?
I still carry my 1GO Box on every guide trip. I load and reload that box for every trip's needs. The Micro Box has also become a “must have” as well. I keep it loaded in my trucks console for every “that looks fishy” moment.
