Why do you love fly fishing?

Fly fishing has always been a massive part of my everyday life. For me, it is a catalyst for conservation and gives me more insight into the world around me. Without fly fishing, I doubt I would have the same connection to the natural world. I am certain that a life outdoors is equivalent to a meaningful existence.

How did you get started in the sport?

My Dad taught me how to Fly Fish when I was only a few years old. Ever since, I have been obsessed with every facet of the sport. My father was an incredible fly tyer, and I would like to think I am trending in that direction as well. Fish and angling pursuits are at the forefront of my brain every single day.

Where is your favorite place to fish and why?

I have been to so many great destinations over my two decades of fishing. The one I keep going back to is the salt marshes of North Florida. My friends at Old City Fly Shop have an epic fishery in their backyard. Between the belly-crawling redfish and Snook on dock lights, there is a lot to love about this place. The people are just as great as the location!

What is your dream destination to fish?

I was recently able to fish one of my dream locations, Iceland! It was some incredible Arctic Char and Brown Trout fishing. The next dream spot for me would definitely have to be fishing in the Patagonia region of Argentina for Salmon. My next two international trips are likely going to be Belize and the Philippines.

Why is the Atollas brand special to you?

I have always been a gearhead, especially when it comes to fly fishing products. This line of products has been especially intriguing to me. This industry has only a few brands that are pushing innovation; Atollas is at the top of this list!

The Fly Caddy is one of my most used pieces of equipment. It is extremely versatile. I use a lot of Yeti products, from the bags to the boxes and everything in between. The Atollas products integrate extremely well with the Yeti ecosystem.
